Today we have a list of the best free-to-play PlayStation 4 games in 2022.

1. Ghost Recon Frontline or simply Frontline.

Ghost Recon Frontline or simply Frontline. It's a free-to-play open-world tactical action shooter game by Ubisoft and according to their webpage, it has an advanced class system and a vast collection of tactical support tools which allows complete strategic flexibility with multiple ways to outsmart opponents and win every battle. And even in the thick of the combat players can switch between different contractors in the game. This game also has an open world consisting of multiple landmarks.

2. Century Age of Ashes

Century Age of Ashes. If you don't want to fight people on the ground in the frontline and want to take it to the skies and fight riding dragons, you should check the century age of ashes. It was released on pc a few weeks back and coming to console in 2022. It's a multiplayer dragon air combat game, so far it has a 6v6 battle mode where you can join with friends, hop on a dragon and fight other people and their dragons to survive and win the battles, also every dragon has its own play style and abilities. Seems exciting, doesn't it?

3. Deathverse

Deathverse is a melee-focused battle royal game set in the format of a tv show similar to squid game in which competitors compete to survive and amuse spectators. Participants must find weapons such as swords hammers and pistols as soon as the match begins and protect themselves against other players by outsmarting and out-fighting them in order to win the show and get points and gain popularity.

4. Division Heartlands

Now let's move on to the Division Heartlands. The Division Heartland is a free-to-play game by ubisoft we still have little information about it. Some say it's a battle Royale game some say it's an open-world game, others think that it's a third-person shooter like previous division games but nothing is confirmed yet. The only thing we know that it will be free to play and will release in early 2022 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xboxes. The game has a huge potential and high build around it and if Ubisoft can deliver a strong gaming experience with good gameplay and a solid story the game could absolutely be a hit and be one of the best games in 2022.

5. PUBG

Next we have a classic pubg. This game is arguably the first battle Royale game that popularized the genre and we wouldn't have games like warzone, apex or Fortnite if it weren't for this game and guess what it is back to get a piece of the pie. It went free to play, I don't think this game has to be broken down but you have to jump out of a plane collect the necessary resources from medkits and weapons shield yourself and be the last person remaining in an ever-shrinking circle. Try it out for yourself and see what the hype is all about.

6. My Hero Academy Ultra Rumble

And since we're talking about pubg one of the most well-known battle royale games of all time there is a new battle royal game called My Hero Academy Ultra Rumble. This game only has 24 players which isn't much for the genre while games like warzone and pubg have up to 150 players but they may add additional players in future updates. This game I believe is an adaptation of an anime series and it reminds me a little bit of jump force and demon  slayer. Aside from that the character's gameplay and map appear to be good and engaging.

7. XDefiant

Next up is XDefiant. Another free play title from ubisoft, it's a fast-paced arena shooter game that combines multiple tom clancy worlds like the division, splinter cell and ghost recon as one. In xDefiant players must engage in intense gameplay fights using different character factions called defiants.  Ranging from wolves who have tank abilities, outcasts who have healing abilities, cleaners who have strongest weapons, and achions who have night vision goggles. High-end teck and items and are similar to ninjas in their approach to battles and are my favorite.

And now before we get to the final games, we have eight bonus games to mention briefly.

  • Caliber is a multiplayer third-person shooter game.
  • Split gate is another shooter game but from the first-person perspective it's a combination of the portal and fps games and it works very well.
  • Pes 2022. This game obviously is a football game where you have to play against other players or friends, build a team, open packs, and play lots of different mods. The only thing that concerns me about this game is microtransactions.
  • That's why I have an alternative ufl. A new football game that promises a fair and free-to-play experience to players and if done right this game could dethrone games like fifa and pes, and I'm actually excited for this game and hopefully, it releases soon.
  • But enough of sports game because we have yu-gi-oh master dual. And before you judge the gameplay and say it's a boring card game believe me its so fun, nostalgic, addictive, and brings so many memories from the original cartoon. In a master duel you play against other players and you have to collect cards in order to improve your collection and win duels.
  • Roller champions is a competitive multiplayer sports game in which three players compete against each other to toss a ball into a goal and collect 5 points.
  • Scavengers. A battle Royale game that has pvp and pve elements and plays from a third person perspective where players have to fight against the harsh  environment and other players at the same time and survive to be the last team standing the game.
  • Knives out. A game that I was hesitant to put on this list but here we go. It's a battle royale game similar to pubg where players drop into a map and have to be the last one standing.

8. Rumbleverse

Now let's get back to our main list and talk about Rumbleverse. It's a new free to play 40 players battle royale. However unlike other games in this genre it is described as a brawler whale. It's like a mixture between wwe and fortnite.

9. Kartrider drift

And if you're looking for a fun challenging Non-battle royale game I got you with Kartrider drift. A free-to-play game similar to super mario kart, players compete with or against one another on the track full of obstacles and dangerous objects and using different cars characters, tons of customizations, and mods.

10. Multiversus

And last but not least Multiversus. A fighting game that includes lots of cartoon games marvel and dc characters where batman can team up with spongebob to fight tom and jerry it doesn't make sense but they made it work somehow and it looks fun and it could be fantastic.

  1. Alright guys so in order for this method to work the first thing that you want to do is you're gonna have to create an account that has the region set as the United States. So to do that press the PlayStation button on your ps4 controller go on to new create a user and then sign up.
